Job summary

The Access Bank UK Ltd. is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our IT Development team in Northwich. You will manage and optimize Oracle databases on Linux, ensuring high availability, security and performance across business-critical systems.

Key responsibilities include monitoring, backups, patching and patch lifecycle, plus automation of routine tasks. The role emphasizes collaboration, leadership within the team and adherence to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Oracle DBA experience including backup and recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, patching, security and high availability.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle WebLogic maintenance/implementation.
• Knowledge of Linux OS and shell scripting; familiarity with enterprise backup architectures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor database health, availability and performance with proactive alerting.
• Perform maintenance operations to ensure stable and secure database operations.
• Support backups, migrations, restores and environment refreshes for Oracle databases.
• Develop and test backup/recovery plans; maintain secure data environments.
