Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Limited is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to support and maintain enterprise database environments. You will install, configure, monitor, optimize performance, manage backups, security, and DR, and collaborate with teams to meet SLAs.

The role requires strong Oracle DBA skills across RAC/ASM/Active Data Guard, Windows and Linux, scripting, and a proven ability to design scalable database solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
• Advanced SQL and database administration skills.
• Experience with security, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Active Data Guard.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers.
• PowerShell and Unix Shell scripting.
• Broad knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Database modelling and capacity planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
• Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Monitor and optimise database performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
• Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.
• Support and deploy new database technologies and enhancements.
• Design, build, and integrate complex database solutions.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and database monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to define technical requirements and database architectures.
• Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are achieved.
• Support testing, deployment, and ongoing improvements across database environments.
