Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior or Principal Civil Engineer to join the River and Coastal Team in the UK, supporting river and coastal projects across multiple offices, including Exeter, Plymouth, Taunton, Bristol, and Cardiff.

You will contribute to flood risk, drainage, and land development schemes, lead quiet design efforts, and mentor junior engineers. Chartered status and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Civil Engineer with chartered status.
• Experience in river/coastal/flood risk projects.
• Strong design, coordination and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

These may include flood risk, river engineering, and supporting wider strategic land development schemes for a variety of public and private sector clients.For more info on our projects, please click on the link:- Taunton, UK Proj, ctsWe're looking for someone with a strong background in the design, optioneering, coordination, designs for drainage strategies, flood risk management, river engineering and river restoration schemesUndertaking calculations and reports for planning and the design stage.Preparing plans and drawings at all stages of the project development cycle (concept through to construction)Design of Earthworks, river structures and drainage schemes and the preparation of the associated specificationsEnsuring high quality delivery in design through QA checksEngaging with the Environment Agency and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvalsLiaising with clients, third party bodies and multi-disciplinary teams and disciplines on all relevant aspects of projectsSupporting projects during the construction stage, including site queries and inspectionsOpportunity to grow the team and mentor junior engineers, with potential for line management (experience depending)Project Management (experience dependent, however training available)About You, Civil Engineering degree, or similar,Chartered
