Job summary

Mid & South Essex Hospital Group (MSE) invites applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Ophthalmology. The role requires full General Ophthalmology training and a postgraduate ophthalmic qualification (FRCOphth or equivalent) with GMC registration and NHS experience.

The post is a 1-year fixed term contract, with opportunities to engage in specialised theatres and clinics, and to participate in academic activities through links with Anglia Ruskin University.

Qualifications

• Fully trained in General Ophthalmology.
• Postgraduate Ophthalmic qualification (FRCOphth or equivalent).
• GMC registration and NHS experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient ophthalmology services under consultant supervision.
• Contribute to the ophthalmology out of hours rota.
• Participate in MDT and departmental meetings.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior colleagues.
