About the role

To support the Test Lab tasks and activity, which shall include, but not by way of limitation, on the following:

Testing and Inspection Coordination:

Monitor and execute testing procedures, including specialized tests using automated systems and manual setups. Conduct detailed inspections and track testing outcomes, failures, and safety risks. Provide timely updates and reports on test status, data logging, and first layer troubleshooting.

Operator Support and Training:

Train new operators using training methods in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), including buddy systems and guidance for test setups and compliance. Plan and manage manpower allocations, operator rotations, attendance tracking, and operator support schedules.

Man-days Recording and Reporting:

Record man-days usage daily by documenting how operator time is distributed across multiple projects. Compile and total man-days at the end of the reporting cycle (cut-off period) to facilitate cross-charging to respective projects.

Sample and Consumable Management:

Manage sample inventory, registration, organization, and disposals. Track, restock, and monitor consumables and personal protection equipment (PPE) required for testing and day-to-day lab operations.

Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Perform first-level troubleshooting on lab equipment and test rigs. Ensure equipment maintenance, including preventive measures and modifications, with technician supervision when required.

Safety and Compliance Monitoring:

Conduct process audits and ensure operator adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), test requirements, and lab 5S practices.

Data Management and Reporting:

Verify test data and results, including extraction, compilation, and reporting to relevant technical teams.

About you

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; certification or coursework in laboratory operations, engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Candidates with minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience or in similar lab environment.

Basic proficiency in handling tools, computers, and light soldering; familiarity with lab equipment and testing procedures is preferred.

Understanding of chemical handling safety protocols and PPE usage; adherence to lab safety and hazard control guidelines.

Ability to maintain inventory, support housekeeping, and follow 5S principles to ensure an orderly lab environment.

Quick learner who adapts to new concepts and demonstrates efficiency in completing tasks under guidance from technicians or engineers.

Able to work in shift rotation if called for.
