Job summary

Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a c.80-strong team across the Sheffield site. You will drive continuous improvement, shape future performance and work across Goods In, Machining, Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, H&S and Despatch.

The role requires a proven track record in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and ERP/MRP systems, delivering KPIs, capital investment, capacity planning and strong leadership to enable growth and commercial

Qualifications

• Proven track record in senior Operations Management within engineering/manufacturing
• Strong Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement background
• Experience delivering operational KPIs and driving business improvements

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of c.80 across Goods In, Machining, Manufacturing, Testing, Quality, H&S and Despatch
• Creating and embedding KPIs to improve operational performance
• Implementing visual management tools and KPI tracking systems
• Driving operational excellence and CI activities
• Developing capacity planning, scheduling and performance management processes
• Identifying and delivering process improvement and capital investment opportunities
• Leading and developing operational staff to foster a high performing environment
• Ensuring operational performance supports commercial objectives, revenue targets and cost control
• Producing regular performance reports and providing insight into operations
