Title: Senior Operations Manager

Location: East Nottinghamshire

Every successful manufacturing organisation has this kind of person within its leadership team, a mediator between factory operations and the GM/MD. Their excellent manufacturing operations experience allows them to make business-critical decisions in real-time on the shop floor, while also being able to craft and execute strategic medium to long-term plans. They are proven leaders, mentors, and coaches, dedicated to developing their team and building an efficient manufacturing workforce that consistently delivers excellence.

This is the person we are looking for. Our client manufactures products for some of the most instantly recognizable brands. Due to a recent retirement, we have been tasked with sourcing and securing this critical Senior Operations Manager appointment.

Fast-paced manufacturing experience is essential. Managing tight deadlines, complex processes, and a workforce of over 250 staff requires someone who thrives under pressure and can handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

You will build and develop your team, leading, educating, and mentoring members to achieve collective success. Your success will be measured not only by your achievements but also by those of your team.

Prerequisites include:

• Leadership experience managing at least 200 people.
• Background in production/operations and/or engineering.
• Strong numeracy skills to interpret factory data and communicate insights effectively.
• Experience in manufacturing continuous improvement methodologies such as TIMWOODS or L6S, leading to improvements in quality, productivity, and OEE.
