St Giles Spencer Academy is an Outstanding Primary Special Academy in Derby City. We are a warm, friendly and inclusive academy which meets the needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.

St Giles Spencer Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Senior Operations Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team to contribute towards driving the continued success of our academy. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational delivery of the business and operational functions of the school including finance, HR and personnel, administration, premises, health and safety and catering services; all of the school’s non-teaching functions.

This is an exciting opportunity, and we are looking for a highly organised and skilled individual who has strong leadership and people management skills, has proven experience of senior operational or business management (ideally within an education setting) and someone who can work effectively under pressure with conflicting work demands.

This role is a permanent, full-time and all-year round position. The start date is as soon as possible to allow for a handover with the current post-holder prior to September 2025, where possible.
