Job summary

QinetiQ is seeking a Team Lead Operations Manager at the Shoeburyness site. You will manage MoD Shoeburyness ranges, ensuring safety, compliance and efficient operations, while deputising for the Head of Site as required.

You’ll collaborate with Programme, Operations and Facilities teams to deliver activities in line with regulations and company policies. The role requires proven leadership in high-hazard environments, strong budget control and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead safe, compliant site operations.
• Experience managing budgets and expenditure.
• Strong stakeholder communication across levels.
• Experience in high-hazard environments with regulatory compliance.
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to own car.
• Understanding of COMAH and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, secure operation of the Shoeburyness site and manage safety, security, reputation and performance.
• Ensure activities comply with HSE, MOD, licensing requirements and support range operations.
• Manage the site budget and control expenditure against forecasts.
• Act as focal point for daily site matters and deputise for Head of Site as needed.
• Maintain physical and information security; manage business risks and continuity.
• Ensure COMAH compliance and support risk management and regulatory reporting.
