Job description

Job Description

A market-leading, proprietary trading firm is looking to hire a London-based senior operations analyst.

Sat between the London head of operations and analysts in the team, as a more senior team member, the hire will take the lead for the firm’s flagship European strategy. While there are no management responsibilities, the hire will have some oversight of juniors and will be the main point of contact for the investment team (leading PMs/Traders for the flagship strategy). Many back-office and operations tasks are outsourced, so hands-on tasks are often highly analytical and/or oversight-focused. The hire can expect to manage relationships with multiple external service providers.

Project work is highly prominent— the hire will have the opportunity to learn VBA, SQL, and Python to participate in major buildout initiatives. At minimum, they will project manage juniors on existing programs.

Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in hedge fund, investment banking, or proprietary trading operations. Strong academic background and technical skills are essential.

The role offers a base salary of £80-120k and a 50% bonus potential for strong performers (a variable either side of this is possible depending on individual performance). The firm will fully subsidize qualifications such as IMC, CFA, CIMA, and CQF. Breakfast and lunch, as well as gym membership, are also fully subsidized.
