Job Description
A multi-billion dollar AUM Hedge Fund is looking to make a newly created hire for its expanding London office.
The hire will report directly to the European Head of Operations / Middle Office and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for equities, taking ownership of operations and middle office tasks related to the firm’s expanding equities investment strategy. As many tasks are outsourced, a core focus will be on analytical tasks, oversight of external service providers, and project work, primarily related to infrastructure buildout or support for equities investment professionals. The hire will serve as a first point of contact for the European equities business, liaising with multiple Prime Brokers (PBs).
The firm has a strong culture of progression. While the initial aim is for the hire to develop into an ‘Operations Manager’, other team members have advanced into roles such as desk assistant, business management, treasury, and change management, offering a variety of future career paths. Top performers may also have opportunities to transfer internally to international offices.
Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in hedge fund operations, with a strong background in equities, excellent academic credentials, and robust technical skills.
The role offers an initial base salary of £80,000 to £110,000, with top performers earning significant bonuses as a percentage of their base salary.
