Job summary

Kingsway Park High School is seeking an accomplished safeguarding professional to take an key operational role across safeguarding and child protection. This senior post reports to the Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead and provides expert advice to colleagues and external partners.

You will manage complex cases, lead a safeguarding team and ensure high standards of safeguarding practice across the school, working closely with families and agencies while maintaining professional autonomy.

Qualifications

• Substantial and recent safeguarding and child protection experience.
• Sound professional judgment and resilience in complex situations.
• Ability to lead safeguarding practice with senior colleagues and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day safeguarding delivery across the school.
• Manage complex safeguarding cases and referrals; assess risk.
• Provide safeguarding advice to staff and external agencies.
• Line manage the Deputy DSL, Safeguarding Officer and Family Support Worker.
