Rebellion is a diverse entertainment company with over 30 years of experience in video game development, publishing, film, board games, books, and comics like Judge Dredd.

We are seeking an experienced back-end Senior Online Developer to join our tech team, focusing on building and supporting web APIs for our game engine team.

This is a primarily back-end role requiring experience in building performant, distributed APIs, and integrating third-party services. Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with other teams. This role offers the chance to develop critical business systems from scratch.

This position can be based in Oxford, Warwick, or Runcorn, with flexible working arrangements and relocation support available.

While face-to-face collaboration is valued, hybrid working options are open based on individual needs.

Key Outcomes:

• Produce performant, well-documented code.
• Develop and deploy tools supporting game teams.
• Address bugs and issues promptly.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and deploy web applications supporting our engine team.
• Maintain and improve existing tools.
• Integrate with third-party APIs.
• Communicate with other teams.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of front-end frameworks like Vue and React.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL and NoSQL.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with development tools and version control (Git/Perforce).
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Desirable: experience with PHP, serverless functions (AWS Lambda/Azure Functions).
