Job Description

Do you have experience working with Defined Benefit Pension schemes? Are you looking to take on a senior role within a dynamic team? If so, join us as a Senior Operational Support Consultant.

In this role, you will apply your expertise to maintain scheme data, administer and update individual member records, and handle all aspects of customer claims work. You will also have the opportunity to support complex benefit structures and provide technical expertise to both ongoing and new schemes.

This is a hybrid working opportunity, allowing flexible work between our central Glasgow office and your home, to help you find a work-life balance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing efficient administration and claims services to scheme members, Trustees, and intermediaries
  • Calculating individual Defined Benefits quotations from various schemes
  • Designing and issuing non-standard communications tailored to customer needs
  • Implementing effective Quality Checking to ensure accurate benefit calculations
  • Acting as an SME and technical expert for the team
  • Designing and implementing training focused on fair treatment and good customer outcomes
  • Facilitating activities such as valuations, data updates, and bulk transfers
  • Managing the onboarding process of new DB Pension schemes

Qualifications

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience/knowledge of Defined Benefit pension scheme administration (a Pension qualification such as CII/PMI or equivalent is preferable)
  • Understanding of benefits structure and administration in Defined Benefit schemes
  • Strong customer focus and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritize work
  • Leadership skills with a proactive problem-solving approach
  • Commitment to maintaining and improving relationships with internal and external customers
  • Familiarity with GDPR, Money Laundering, Complaints, Treating Customers Fairly, and Breach guidelines
