Job summary

Hartley Hospital for Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in old age psychiatry to lead the older adults outpatient multidisciplinary team. You will assess referrals, formulate plans, and act as Responsible Clinician for a caseload across allocated GP surgeries.

The role includes cognitive assessment, functional mental disorders, and leadership in service development with close cooperation with health and social care teams.

Qualifications

• MBChB, MBBS or equivalent.
• GMC registration in good standing; Specialist Register in old age psychiatry or eligibility within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Act as Responsible Clinician for own caseload within the Older Adults CMHT.
• Assess referrals, formulate treatments, and manage care plans.
