Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist to deliver high quality care to older adults within the Later Life & Memory Service at The Beckett Unit, Hollins Park.

You will lead the outpatient MDT, assess new referrals, formulate care plans and manage treatment, while developing services and ensuring integrated care with primary and secondary teams for timely access and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Lead the outpatient multi-disciplinary team at The Beckett Unit.
• Assess new referrals, make formulations and manage treatment.
• Provide leadership and consultative support to the MDT.

Responsibilities

• Assess new referrals to the team and develop care plans.
• Provide expert advice and interventions in a timely manner.
• Coordinate pathways between primary and secondary care.
• Act as Responsible Clinician for patients in caseload.
