Job summary

Oil Major Trading House in Central London seeks a Senior Oil Products & BioFuels Operator to join their London HQ. You will work 3 days in the office and 2 days flexi per week, with occasional remote work up to two weeks a year, supporting busy desks across Europe.

You will manage day‑to‑day operations for oil products, coordinate documentation (invoices, vessel nominations, LC), support demurrage and cost control, and ensure data integrity across systems while complying with REACH and customs

Qualifications

• At least 5 years experience in a European Senior Products or BioFuels Operator role.
• Strong understanding of the oil trading lifecycle and shipping operations.
• Strong understanding of REACH compliance.
• Bachelor's degree from a leading UK or international university.
• Experience in storage and blending is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Eligible to live and work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day trading operations activities for oil commodities.
• Handle key documentation: pro forma invoices, vessel nominations, letters of credit, cargo insurance, and vessel clearance.
• Support demurrage and cost management with ancillary costs and resolutions.
• Update the company’s position and ensure systems have latest data for all cargoes.
• Ensure full compliance with internal controls and external requirements (REACH, customs).
• Liaise with inspection companies regarding cargo quality and quantity controls.
• Manage storage locations, including stock reconciliations.
• Work with the sanctions team to protect the company’s interests.
• Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
