Purpose of the job
The Senior Officer, EU Pillar, plays a key role in the Bank’s engagement with the EU on its flagship programme for EBRD’s EU Countries of Operations. The focus of the role is on supporting Donor Partnerships staff members in their negotiation and implementation of EU funding programmes, including financing instruments and advisory support, and specifically on the implementation of the InvestEU programme. The Senior Officer may support staff implementing other EU-funded programmes to ensure smooth operations of the EU Pillar team.
The role includes administrative and budget support, interaction with colleagues across the Bank, and external contacts.
Background
The EU is a key strategic partner for EBRD, being a major donor and shareholder. Maintaining a productive relationship with the EU is a core aim.
The EU Pillar in Donor Partnerships leads in designing new EU co-financing and advisory products, and manages EU funding from various sources.
With new EU flagship guarantees like Invest EU and EFSD+, the volume of guarantees and associated workflows is expected to increase significantly.
The Senior Officer will provide administrative support, including research, reporting, data management, travel arrangements, procurement, and meeting organization. The role involves coordination with various departments and external organizations.
Scale
The EU Team has 19 staff in London, managing significant financial programmes supported by EU guarantees and grants.

Qualifications
Experience and Skills
Experience with EU institutions and SAP is desirable but not essential.
