Job summary

The London Borough of Hounslow is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Specialist Practice and Advice Service. You will provide specialist advice and support to ensure children and young people are fully included across schools and settings.

You will work in a growing, multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists and teachers. The role offers hybrid working, strong supervision, and diverse CPD opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and RCOT membership required.
• Enhanced DBS and safeguarding commitment.
• Experience with sensory processing in multidisciplinary settings.
• Flexibility to work across settings within the local authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate specialist advice to ensure children are included.
• Develop innovative approaches across universal to specialist levels.
• Develop skills across early years to secondary settings.
• Collaborate with schools to develop early intervention approaches.
• Contribute to assessment, consultation and strategic work.
• Deliver training and coaching to up-skill the workforce.
• Build partnerships with families, schools and multi-agency colleagues.
• Support and supervise colleagues; lead on projects within the team.
• Improve outcomes for Hounslow children and young people.
