East Kent Hospitals invites applications for a Rotational Band 6 Occupational Therapist based at William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. The post offers rotations across Acute Medical wards, HCOOP, Critical Care, A&E and Trauma/Orthopaedics with scope to gain experience in other specialities.

The role involves managing a clinical caseload, facilitating safe discharge, supervising junior staff and contributing to MDT work and service improvement within the department.

Qualifications

• 18 months post graduate experience in relevant clinical area.
• Registered professional with RCOT and relevant NHS practice standards.
• Able to prioritise, organise and deliver patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Manage a clinical caseload and conduct assessment, formulation and evaluation.
• Facilitate safe discharge planning from hospital to the community.
• Deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues.
• Participate in training and development within the department for students and staff.
• Promote OT role and contribute to MDT working.
