Job summary

Brainkind is seeking a Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Level 2b neurorehabilitation service in Preston. You will manage a caseload of clients with acquired brain injury and neurological conditions, delivering evidence-based interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

You will supervise and train therapy staff, contribute to service improvements and ensure high standards of documentation and reporting in line with RCOT guidance.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
• Experience in neurological rehabilitation
• Experience supervising/junior staff
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication in complex situations
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with professionalism
• Comfort with moving and handling equipment

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritise caseload for complex neurological conditions.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate interventions with evidence-based reasoning.
• Design rehabilitation programmes and supervise therapy support staff.
• Conduct risk assessments and support discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and specialist reports per RCOT guidance.
