Qualifications

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
• Significant post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care or statutory health setting.
• Experience of complex assessments, moving and handling, specialist equipment, and major adaptations/DFGs.
• Experience of supervising staff and managing complex cases.
• Strong knowledge of Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act.
• Commitment to strengths-based practice and delivering positive outcomes for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assessing function, assessing care and support needs and providing equipment.
• Taking a strength-based approach, complex moving and handling as well as awareness of DFG process, including minor and major adaptations recommendations.
• Providing operational and motivational leadership and supervision to Occupational Therapy and social care staff; managing a small caseload of complex cases.
