Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking a HCPC-registered Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care OT Team in Bath. You will manage complex caseloads, lead supervision groups, and work with multi-disciplinary teams to promote independence and wellbeing.

The role emphasises housing adaptations, DFG processes, moving and handling, and postural management, with a focus on person-centred practice.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered occupational therapist with post-qualification experience in adult social care.
• Experience with housing adaptations and DFG processes.
• Expertise in moving and handling, risk assessment, and advisory practice.
• Knowledge of Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Housing and Moving and Handling legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry a complex caseload including major adaptations under DFGs, moving and handling, and postural assessments.
• Advise and support OTs with complex casework.
• Lead OT Peer Supervision groups.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams to promote independence, wellbeing and inclusive practice for adults with diverse needs.
• Work with OT Team Managers to share clinical expertise.
