Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Physiotherapy team on a bank/as-needed basis. You will assess, plan and deliver specialist OT interventions, supporting patients to regain independence and manage complex caseloads with expert supervision and timely documentation.

Applicants should be HCPC-registered and bring significant post-registration experience across acute, rehab, or community settings.

Senior Occupational Therapist (Bank) The Alexandra Hospital Bank Shifts Salary: Up to £26.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for an Senior Occupational Therapist to join their team of staff in thePhysiotherapy department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Assess, plan, and deliver specialist occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual patient goals.
• Support patients in developing independence with personal care, domestic tasks, functional mobility, and cognitive or sensory challenges.
• Manage a complex caseload independently, providing specialist input into treatment plans and discharge decisions.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and day-to-day support to junior therapists, assistants, and students.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with HCPC and organisational standards.
• Support service evaluation, audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care efficiency.
