Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

Location: West Midlands, United Kingdom

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts

Job Summary:

A respected specialist care provider in the West Midlands is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with complex neurological conditions across two modern, fully equipped sites. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive neurological and musculoskeletal assessments
  • Develop and implement personalised treatment and rehabilitation plans
  • Provide both individual and group-based therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with internal and external healthcare professionals to support care planning and discharge pathways
  • Monitor and evaluate outcomes, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with HCPC and organisational standards
  • Attend and contribute to care reviews, multidisciplinary meetings, and external appointments
  • Support staff development through mentoring, training, and sharing of expertise
  • Adhere to all safeguarding, health and safety, and clinical governance policies
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with neurological conditions, occupational performance assessments, and upper limb rehabilitation
  • Strong communication, time management, and documentation skills
  • A collaborative, professional approach and commitment to multidisciplinary working
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (Visa sponsorship available for suitable candidates)

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Familiarity with occupational therapy models such as the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) or Vona du Toit’s Model of Creative Ability
  • Experience in conducting mental capacity assessments and managing Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
  • Experience in planning and delivering group therapy sessions
