Job summary

Exemplar Health Care in the North West multisite is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead clinical OT services across four complex care settings. You will empower residents to maximise independence and oversee a team of junior therapists and assistants.

You’ll deliver specialist assessments, develop care plans, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation. You’ll also maintain records and collaborate closely with the Therapy Team to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have a BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered.
• Experience delivering occupational therapy with adults in complex care settings is preferred.
• Strong communication, listening and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a clinical OT caseload across multiple homes.
• Develop and deliver person-centred OT interventions with residents.
• Collaborate with Therapy Team to provide holistic care.
• Carry out assessments and maintain accurate records.

Contract type: Full time, 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday

Rate: £41,030 per annum

Join us as your new Senior Occupational Therapist working across four complex care services in the North West

As a Senior Occupational Therapist with us, you’ll support our residents with a high-quality occupational therapy service throughout their journey with us. You’ll play a key role in empowering them and maximising their independence.

You’ll lead and supervise Junior Therapists or Therapy Assistants across the homes you support to ensure delivery of evidence-based, high quality therapy and rehabilitation.

You’ll build relationships with the people you support, and see the progress they make through ongoing care, which is extremely rewarding.

About the role

Our Occupational Therapists provide specialist assessments, clinical diagnoses and interventions to help people overcome the challenges they face with completing everyday tasks and activities.

You’ll work as part of a wider Clinical Team to create person-centred care and rehabilitation plans that maintain and build people’s abilities, support them to achieve their goals and evaluate their outcomes.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• being responsible for a clinical caseload
• working alongside the people we support, their loved ones and professionals to develop and deliver person-centred occupational therapy interventions
• collaborating closely with the Therapy Team (Physiotherapist, Therapy Assistant and Activities Coordinators)
• being responsible for a clinical caseload
• carrying out assessments
• maintaining accurate records for people receiving occupational therapies
• promoting choice, dignity and independence.
