Job summary
This is an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join The Dean Neurological Centre, a service for people with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) and progressive neurological conditions. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting health and independence by delivering high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, while also providing clinical leadership, supervision, and consultation to the wider multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the jobAs a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, and stakeholders, providing compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff, ensuring the delivery of occupational therapy student placements, supporting the completion of appraisals and personal development plans, and developing and implementing appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways. You will demonstrate highly specialist expertise and skills in areas such as occupational engagement, environmental adaptation, and the development and maintenance of skills needed for meaningful participation.

The Centre delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise functional ability.
It specialises in slow stream rehabilitation where the emphasis is placed on maximising each individual's abilities, comfort and quality of life.
Bedrooms are fitted with high dependency equipment, including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment., with all rooms adapted to individual requirements. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities and other facilities such as gardens, gym and minibus.
