Job summary

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Obstetrician to join the James Cook University Hospital's fetal medicine and obstetric teams in Middlesbrough. This substantive replacement post requires full GMC registration and specialist register status in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, or eligibility within 6 months of interview.

The role involves contributing to on‑call duties, participating in fetal medicine activities, and working within a larger consultant team.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and specialist registration in obstetrics and gynaecology or nearing CCT.
• Completion of formal training programme in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Membership of RCOG or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to on‑call duties (4th on call, non‑resident) and support junior doctors.
• Join a fetal medicine team to form a larger Obstetrics/Gynaecology consultant group.
• Provide specialist knowledge and expertise in high‑risk obstetrics.
