Job summary

Apple is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to help develop the next generation of iCloud's cloud services platform and infrastructure. You will design foundational systems, including distributed data platforms, storage, and a unified observability ecosystem powering billions of users.

As a core member of the observability team, you will balance hands-on coding with architectural decisions, while prioritizing privacy and security.

Qualifications

• Strong background in developing software in Java or similar language
• Strong background in backend services and distributed systems
• Experience with streaming data processing and large-scale data
• Experience programming in concurrent and multi-threaded environments
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support distributed services handling large volumes of operational data
• Integrate with large-scale data processing and streaming engines
• Collaborate with iCloud teams to deliver insights and observability
• Drive end-to-end project execution from design to production
• Deploy, scale, and maintain highly concurrent services
• Triage and remediate production and operational issues
