Apple is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer focused on Observability to join the London team. You will work on the Apple Services Engineering stack, ensuring high availability, scalability, and robust monitoring across global data centers and cloud environments.

As part of a collaborative team, you will design and run infrastructure for iCloud, Maps, and other services, building automation, deploying new capabilities, and participating in on-call resilience efforts in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Strong ownership and collaboration across teams.
• Experience scaling distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Ability to design, author, and release code in Go or Python.
• Solid understanding of Linux OS, networking basics, and performance tuning.

Responsabilités

• Deploy, support, and monitor services across prod and non-prod environments.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to design scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Improve observability, reliability, and performance of Apple services.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, deployment, and monitoring of systems.
• Use scale testing to measure, tune, and optimise system performance; contribute to capacity planning and disaster-recovery exercises.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve reliability, security, and performance.
• Participate in code, infrastructure, and design reviews; drive process improvements.
• Join on-call rotation to provide hands-on incident response.
