Job summary

Royal Hospital Chelsea seeks a Deputy Matron to lead registered care across the Margaret Thatcher Infirmary and Domiciliary Care service, supporting Pensioners to live well with safe, person-centred care.

You will be a Registered Nurse with an NMC PIN, experienced in geriatric care, and capable of setting standards while supporting teams. Commitment to CPD and regulatory excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Adult Nurse with a current NMC PIN.
• Experience in elderly or geriatric care.
• Continuing professional development, ideally ILM Level 5 or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Lead registered care services day to day, staying visible and practical.
• Support safe staffing, clinical standards, compliance and safeguarding.
• Build trusted relationships with Pensioners, families, colleagues and partners, driving improvement.
• Experience supervising clinical teams and supporting improvement.
• Knowledge of clinical risk, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and ILM Level 5 (or willingness).
