Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Director of Nursing and Quality on the senior leadership team. The role leads nursing practice, quality, patient safety, safeguarding and infection prevention across the Accountable Care Group and involves complex clinical services with delegated budget and workforce responsibility.

Current NMC registration and extensive senior nursing leadership experience in a large NHS organisation are essential for this demanding post.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant subject or equivalent senior applied knowledge and experience.
• Recent, relevant continuing professional development in nursing, quality, safety, leadership and management.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing leadership across the Accountable Care Group.
• Lead nursing, quality and patient safety across the Accountable Care Group.
• Oversee patient experience, safeguarding, and infection prevention and control.
• Lead regulatory assurance and clinical governance.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and innovation.
• Lead safe staffing, workforce planning and professional development.
• Champion a culture where patients, families and staff are central.
• Work with the Managing Director and senior clinical, operational and corporate leaders to deliver strategic objectives.
