Job description

We are currently hiring for a Senior Nursery Practitioner in Woodley for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse position. This 60-place nursery operates 51 weeks a year, from 07:30 to 18:00. The role is full-time, working 40 hours a week.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification. While 12 months of experience is preferred, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

You should be passionate and motivated to make a positive impact on the children and contribute to the team. Responsibilities include organizing daily routines, engaging children in educational and creative activities, and building strong relationships with children and their families. You should enjoy working in a fun, driven, and committed team environment.

Nursery Practitioner Duties include but are not limited to:

• Viewing planning sheets and maintaining records for all staff in your room
• Ensuring routines are followed and run smoothly
• Implementing new decisions within the room
• Following all policies and procedures
• Serving as an excellent role model to staff

Nursery Practitioner Requirements:

• Experience in providing play and learning opportunities for children
• Good interpersonal skills, organized and efficient
• Ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
• Acting as Key-worker and conducting observations
• Knowledge of the Children’s Act
• Experience working with toddlers or preschool children
• Excellent communication skills with children and parents
• Ability to interact well with children and use initiative
• Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS
