Job summary

Refresh Recruitment Ltd in Haywards Heath is seeking an experienced Third in Charge for a welcoming nursery. You will support Room Leaders and Early Years Practitioners with the day-to-day running, helping to maintain high standards of care, learning and safeguarding.

The role requires a full Level 3 qualification in Childcare/EYFS (or equivalent) and previous Early Years nursery experience, ideally with senior responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in Early Years or nursery environment, ideally with Room Leader or senior responsibilities.
• Good knowledge of EYFS.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support Room Leaders and Practitioners in the day-to-day running of the nursery.
• Help to create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment meeting each child's needs.
• Ensure EYFS-based nursery practice and provision meet requirements.
• Monitor and help to continuously improve childcare quality.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Support and develop staff, including setting and reviewing individual development targets.
• Take on playroom and additional management responsibilities when required.
• Support the nursery in maintaining budgets and controlling costs.
• Promote consistently high safeguarding, care and early years education.
