Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a six‑month secondment as Band 7 Escalation and Outlier Sister/Charge Nurse at Weston General Hospital. Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of relevant post-registration professional development.
• Teaching/assessing/mentorship qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior nursing leadership across escalation and outlier areas.
• Support the medical outlier team and coordinate safe, effective patient care.
• Attend and contribute to the 09:00 and 14:00 board rounds.
• Identify and elevate clinical, staffing or patient safety concerns appropriately.
• Support patient flow, transfers and timely discharge.
• Provide advice, guidance and support to nursing teams caring for patients outside their usual specialty.
• Maintain oversight of quality, safety and clinical governance across escalation areas.
