Senior Nurse - Care Home

Location: Workington, Cumbria, CA14 3NE

Hours: 36 hours per week

Pay:£22.31 per hour

They are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Nurse to join their care home in Workington, Cumbria. The Role

As a Senior Nurse, you’ll provide expert clinical leadership and person-centred care to meet the physical, psychological, and social needs of residents. You’ll:

  • Lead and support the nursing team, acting as a role model and mentor
  • Create a safe, supportive environment for residents with a range of complex needs
  • Use professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions and oversee high standards of care
  • Develop, review, and monitor tailored care plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure safe administration of medication and compliance with clinical governance standards
  • Support continuous improvement and training across the nursing team
Essential Criteria
  • CurrentNMC registration (RGN)
  • Proven experience in a Senior Nurse or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of clinical practices, regulatory frameworks (DoLS/MCA, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines)
  • Experience producing and reviewing care plans, risk assessments, and clinical audits
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop nursing staff
