An innovative rehabilitation facility is seeking a Rehabilitation Nurse to join their inter-disciplinary team in Sheffield. This role involves caring for clients with disabling injuries, ensuring high-quality nursing care while promoting independence. STEPS are looking for like-minded nurses who share the values and philosophies integral to the success of STEPS to join their team. You will encounter a number of different disabling injuries and illnesses and be an integral part of the team supporting clients to live as independently as possible. As a Rehabilitation Nurse you will be working closely with the clients, their family, and the Interdisciplinary team. You will be responsible for caring for the clients physical and emotional needs, following the nursing and rehabilitation care plans closely, whilst monitoring the clients progress throughout. These plans will need reviewing and changing to reflect the progress with rehabilitation goals. Rehabilitation nurses are fortunate enough to maintain high levels of clinical skills whilst also helping clients to exercise to gain strength, assist clients with adaptive devices and also act as educators and trainers within their role.

STEPS is a purpose-built 23-bedroom, unique rehabilitation facility,able to deliver high-quality care from a range of medical and rehabilitationspecialists on Abbeydale Road, Sheffield. It is a unique environment thatprovides rehabilitation to clients who have suffered serious injuries anddebilitating neurological illnesses.
STEPS has been designed to feel non-clinical, comfortable and homely andwe hope you will agree STEPS is like no other care facility you will haveworked in. Our specialists work collaboratively under one roof and clients canaccess a wide range of therapies and specialist robotic and VR rehabilitationequipment. You will be working within our interdisciplinary team comprised of Consultantsin rehabilitation medicine; spinal injuries, amputations, anaesthetics, plasticsurgery and pain management, physiotherapists; occupational therapists; speechand language therapists; neuro-psychologists; neurologic music therapist;prosthetic and orthotic specialists and amongst other nurses experienced incomplex care. To lead the unit on a day to day basis in theabsence of senior management.

To take the lead on the unit as and whendirected to provide clinical leadership, support and guidance to other staffmembers.
To act upon and escalate issues as requiredfollowing STEPS guidance and operating procedures.
To administer medications andtreatment as prescribed, monitor effects and report as defined.
To be compliant with theclinical governance requirements operating within STEPS procedures.
To be involved in clinicalaudits as and when directed.
To contribute and lead onspecific projects related to service delivery e.g. quality programmes,education and training and contributing to the setting and monitoring ofpractice standards.
Carrying out all proceduresrelating to the personal care and nutritional needs of clients dealing withemergencies as required.
To undertake duties andresponsibilities as defined in the work plan.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
£38,750 to £43,900 a yearpro rata. Generous benefits package
