Overview

Heron View is a 35 bedded Specialist Care Home, supporting men with Neurocognitive disorders/ brain injuries/ learning disabilities. As a senior nurse, you will bridge the gap between the clinical nursing team and the home’s management, ensuring the highest standards and quality are delivered at all times. Leading from the front, you will monitor all patient care and treatments, undertake specialised, practical interventions and conduct assessments of the resident's needs, care planning and medicines management.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and delivery of care plans
  • Work as a primary nurse for a group of service users as required by the home manager
  • Participate in clinical meetings as required and report areas of concern to the manager
  • Support our service users with everyday activities
  • Assisting and encouraging service users to engage in therapeutic activities and organised events designed to help them increase their skills and independence
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Current registration with active NMC pin (RGN, RMN both welcome)
  • Experience in a mental health care home / similar setting
  • Experience in caring for service users who exhibit challenging behaviour
  • Strong knowledge of NMC code of conduct
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to prioritise workload and delegate appropriately
