We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Senior Engineer - E3S Engineering Interface, to be involved in an industry-leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.
As a member of the Environment, Safety, Security and Safeguards (E3S) team, you will proactively drive E3S into the design and provide advice and guidance in support of Engineering and others. You will work closely with designers and analysts to deliver E3S-informed design. You will be key in achieving and demonstrating a design that reduces risks to as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP) using best available techniques (BAT).
Our directorate also provides regulatory interfacing efforts in support of national and international licensing. You will serve as a principal interface with regulators and lead licensing activities for an engineering or analysis topic, e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Severe Accident Analysis.
This role is well suited to individuals with nuclear safety engineering and safety case production experience, although other relevant backgrounds will also be considered.

Pay and benefits:
We anticipate paying a salary of between £48,000 - £63,000 DOE plus:
