Job summary

WRD Consulting Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a Control System Senior Design Engineer for its Nuclear Silos design team. You will lead a team of Control System Design Engineers, delivering and checking designs and updates to meet functional and business needs.

The role requires SC security clearance (or the ability to obtain) and hands-on experience with SCADA/PLC control systems, network architectures, and multi-discipline project delivery from concept through handover.

Qualifications

• Security clearance: SC or the ability to obtain.
• Experience as Control System Lead/ Senior Design Engineer on external multidisciplinary projects from concept to handover.
• Hands-on experience with SCADA/PLC control systems and network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with a range of persons and teams.
• Develop programmes and estimates to support project planning.
• Prioritise and assign work to the design team.
• Review and challenge control system requirements to meet targets.
• Deliver to challenging project deadlines and report progress.
• Contribute to design assurance tactics and reviews.
• Provide design support during procurement, system integration, installation and commissioning.
