Job summary

Raytheon in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Senior NPI Engineering Manager to bridge R&D and manufacturing, leading a cross-functional team to design and industrialise new electronic products from concept through handover.

You will chair NPI gate reviews, drive DFx, manage MRL and FMEA, and collaborate with procurement and suppliers to secure components and capabilities while maintaining cost and schedule baselines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical/Electronic/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in highly regulated sectors (Aerospace/Defence/Space).
• Knowledge of AS9100/9102, AS9145 and J-STD-001.
• Ability to obtain national security clearance (UK SC or equivalent).
• PM tools proficiency and PMP/PRINCE2 desirable.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM configuration control.

Responsibilities

• Direct cross-functional teams to design and industrialise new electronic products from concept to production handover.
• Lead stage-gate processes (AS9145, APQP/PPAP) through full lifecycle.
• Champion DfX to ensure robust, cost-effective designs.
• Identify and mitigate production risks with PFMEA and RCCA.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to secure components and capabilities.
• Maintain project baselines for cost, schedule and scope; report to leadership.
• Drive development of manufacturing plans, work instructions, tooling and fixtures.
• Chair NPI gates and Production Readiness Reviews to ensure readiness.
