We have a great opportunity to join our New Product Introduction team as a Senior NPI Manufacturing Engineer. You'll contribute to the development of our next-generation wound care products, making a significant impact not just on S+N, but more importantly, on our customers!

What does the life of an NPI Manufacturing Engineer look like?

It's product and process development, straddling the early design concepts versus the operations and manufacturing processes. This role acts as an anchor, guiding early product design phases and delivering a manufacturing process that produces our products to specification efficiently. It requires innovation, teamwork, leadership, and a passion for process improvement.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing technical guidance to ensure all new products in the Wound franchise are designed for manufacture.
  • Being a subject matter expert for the Design transfer process, ensuring compliance and value addition during transfer of medical devices into operations.
  • Ensuring the end product meets or exceeds market needs, quality standards, manufacturability, cost, and availability.
  • Influencing New Product Development with guidance from senior team members, focusing on design transfer processes.
  • Aligning with project timelines and identifying opportunities to accelerate time-to-market while maintaining deliverables.

What will you need to be successful?

  • Relevant engineering education, such as a B.ENG degree or equivalent experience or Higher National Certificate.
  • Previous experience in an engineering role with understanding and passion for manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with NPI and supplier relationship management is advantageous but not essential.
