Senior NPI Engineer

The Role: Senior Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for a talented Senior Engineer to join a prominent aerospace engineering business in Gloucestershire.

In this role, you will be heavily involved in technical product development programmes, ensuring the technical feasibility of proposed solutions and solving technical problems along the way.

This role requires high-level competency in office and workshop-based activities and close collaboration with different departments, so teamwork and technical competency are paramount.

You will be joining a fantastic team in a purpose-built modern facility where you can make a real impact on the future of the business.

Duties: Senior Engineer
  1. Perform engineering tasks across a product development process (APQP).
  2. Translate requirements into compliance statements and validation test procedures.
  3. Coordinate development test work in validating product performance.
  4. Be actively involved in hands-on testing including static, fatigue, vibration, thermal, and fluid dynamics tests.
  5. Report writing, presenting, and communicating technical work to engineers.
  6. Utilise 8D and DMAIC methods for complex problem-solving activities.
  7. Monitor and be accountable for project budgets against costs and timescales.
  8. Provide technical leadership within programmes and assignments.
  9. Lead trade study activities to gather required evidence, as needed.
Background: Senior Engineer
  1. Mechanical engineering experience and training (Ideally Degree level).
  2. Problem-solving and investigation skills.
  3. Familiarity with analytical methods and software.
  4. Interpretation of engineering drawings and models.
  5. Able to evaluate GD&T requirements.
  6. Evidence of complex report writing.
  7. Willingness to perform hands-on engineering work to support investigations.
