Job Description:

We are partnering with a seed-stage EdTech start-up seeking a Senior Node.js Engineer to help build a next-generation ed-tech platform. After securing a multi-million £ seed round, they are launching their MVP, which has received positive feedback. The team is expanding to develop new features for the next phase of the app. They work with Node.js and TypeScript to create cloud-native, event-driven microservices hosted in AWS.

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Hybrid (flexible, with occasional visits to SW London, UK)

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Share Options + Benefits

Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience with Node.js & TypeScript
• Experience in constructing microservices and event-driven architectures
• Proficiency in API development
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services, Serverless framework, and CDK
• Knowledge of AWS Lambdas and DynamoDB
• Ability to design architectures using tools like Miro and LucidChart
• Experience with testing, agile methodologies, and a background in Computer Science

Nice to have: experience with Auth0, CI/CD tools, app monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
