Job description

Position Overview

Four-week rota working every other weekend with 2 x 12-hour shifts from 7pm to 7am, totaling 28 hours per week.

Purpose of the Position

• Promote a caring environment for residents by maintaining high standards of practice that meet their physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs.
• Ensure each resident receives appropriate care as outlined in their individual care plans.
• Support management in implementing the 'Essential Standards of Quality and Safety for Adults' in accordance with the Care Quality Commission.
• Develop positive working relationships with managers and participate in staff training and development.
• Take charge of shifts in the absence of the Deputy Manager and Manager.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2, with a commitment to work towards Level 3.
• Minimum of 12 months experience in the care field, with a good understanding of health and safety, elderly care principles, and staff supervision.
• Hold or be working towards all mandatory training courses.

• Organize workload and supervise staff when in charge.
