Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our Older Adults Residential Teams. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care, leading shifts, and supporting night-time routines in our residential homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership through supervision and feedback to care staff.
• Lead shifts and monitor care practices to maintain high standards.
• Support night care including personal care and medication administration, ensuring resident safety.
• Provide person-centered care and tailor care planning to meet individual needs.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues to create a welcoming environment.

Job description

• Provide effective leadership: Motivate, train and support care staff through supervision and feedback, leading shifts, care practice monitoring and role modelling excellent standards.
• Support at night: Help with activities including personal care and administering medication, ensuring the comfort, wellbeing and safety of our residents at night.
• Person-centred care: Tailor your care planning to meet the unique needs of each resident.
• Build relationships: Establish supportive connections with residents, their families, and colleagues.
