Senior Night Care Assistant – Parkland House, our Outstanding CQC Rate Care Home

£13.52 – £14.02 ph, 36 hours per week.

Are you an experienced care professional ready to step into a leadership role? As a Senior Care Assistant at Peninsula Care Homes, you will be at the heart of a team dedicated to delivering outstanding care and support for the people living in our homes. You’ll be a key figure in shaping their day-to-day lives, supporting them through their journey, and guiding your team to provide person-centred care with compassion and dedication.

Your Role:

  • Lead & Co-ordinate Care Teams: Lead and manage the care team during your shifts, ensuring the highest quality of person-centred care is delivered to each resident.
  • Personalised Care: Build meaningful relationships with residents, understanding their unique preferences and needs, so you can provide the best possible care and support.
  • Health & Safety: You’ll be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of residents, staff, and visitors within the home, ensuring the environment is safe and conducive to quality care.
  • Care Plan & Risk Assessment Management: Update and maintain electronic care plans and risk assessments, ensuring they reflect the evolving needs of each individual. You’ll also liaise with external professionals like CQC, Safeguarding, GPs, and OTs to ensure care standards are met.
  • Medicine Management: Use the eMAR system to manage the safe administration of medication, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Daily Support: Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, emotional support, and encouraging social interaction to promote well-being and a sense of community within the home.
