Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting is seeking a Senior Next.js Developer to join our multidisciplinary agile teams delivering UK government digital services. You will lead frontend development using Next.js and React, ensuring accessibility, performance, and quality in a regulated environment.

Working in Swansea with up to 60% on-site, you will collaborate with civil servants and suppliers, mentor teammates, and help shape API-first architectures built on Java Spring Boot and AWS.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building scalable front-end apps with Next.js and React.
• Experience delivering public sector digital services to WCAG 2.2 standards.
• Strong API-first, cloud-native design and REST microservices.
• Proven ability to work in blended agile delivery squads.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support front end applications using Next.js/React, ensuring performance and accessibility.
• Integrate Front End interfaces with Java Spring Boot microservices and AWS serverless components.
• Ensure compliance with Government Digital Service standards and accessibility guidelines.
• Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices across squads.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to sustain high-velocity releases.
