We are recruiting a New Business/New Logo Sales Professional within our Futures Business Unit. If you have experience in opening new logos in sectors such as Industrial manufacturing, materials (chemicals, glass, paper, forestry, metals), Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Manufacturing, Rail, Media, Agritech, or IT, we want to hear from you.
The successful candidate will leverage our existing value propositions across these sectors.
Roke’s Futures business unit applies expertise from various industries to provide rapid, innovative, and secure solutions for complex challenges, covering the entire product lifecycle from advice and research to engineering, design, and support. Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute sales growth strategies through direct and partner campaigns.
- Identify, build, and manage new key client relationships to maximize revenue and value.
- Align sales and innovation roadmaps with customer priorities across the business.
- Manage sales, bids, and quotes in line with governance processes.
- Influence client and partner requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate sales and engineering interactions to sell services, ensure successful bids, and resolve issues.
- Lead bids and pre-sales teams to generate winning proposals.
- Achieve or exceed order and revenue targets.
- Manage pipeline, forecasting, and budgeting accurately.
- Contribute market intelligence to the CRM ecosystem.
- Support the development and delivery of the Futures business strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing on lead generation and brand awareness strategies.
- Create compelling client propositions aligned with market needs.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience in direct sales of R&D activities, technical solutions, services, and emerging products.
- Familiarity with solution selling methodologies.
- Ability to develop strong relationships at senior levels and implement account development plans.
- Understanding of Autonomy, machine vision, AI/ML, data science, and sensing technologies.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a broad knowledge of sales strategies and success drive.
- Capability to understand client challenges and provide innovative solutions in their language.
- Proven ability to qualify opportunities and convert them into orders quickly.
- Experience in planning and delivering successful bids under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging senior management.
- Effective in both local and remote team leadership.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally.
