Cardiff and Vale University Health Board invites applications for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery within the Neurosurgical Department. The post offers broad experience in general neurosurgery, with on-call duties and opportunities to develop subspecialty interests according to experience and service needs.

The role includes participation in consultant-led operating lists, outpatient clinics, ward-based care and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with license to practice.
• Appropriate postgraduate clinical experience for a Senior Clinical Fellow role.
• Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development, clinical governance and patient safety.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical care for neurosurgical inpatients, including assessment, investigation, treatment planning and ongoing review.
• Attend consultant-led neurosurgical operating lists and outpatient clinics.
• Participate in neurosurgical MDT meetings and other relevant departmental meetings.
• Contribute to the middle-grade on-call rota for general neurosurgery.
• Maintain clinical records and undertake administrative duties.
